Celebrating 10 Years in Business

We are pleased to be celebrating our 10th birthday this month, having grown from a one-man band started by Founder and Managing Director, Christopher Dean, to now a team of seven. Our team of experts have provided CCTV security solutions across Brighton, Sussex, London and Kent, specialising in CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, intercoms, and various Wi-Fi Systems for commercial properties and residential homes, since 2013.

We were so excited to be nominated as a finalist for Small Business of the Year in the Sussex Business Awards last year and aim for higher this year.

Reflecting on some of the key achievements over the years, Christopher thought back to when he first created the company. “I’d been working in security solutions for a while, but I realised I seemed to be doing these jobs everywhere except Brighton. I loved what I was doing, but I wanted to do it in my hometown and surrounding areas, and that’s how Brighton CCTV was born”.

The company has developed hugely over the years, with the team helping with all aspects of the business. Starting from first customer contact, arranging surveys and quotes, installing the CCTV and intruder alarm systems, maintenance, and call-out support. “The business has evolved massively over the years – we started just doing CCTV, but we realised about 3 years into the business that we could offer customers the full package of CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, intercoms, and Wi-Fi systems. We branched out and made sure we were giving a full service to hotels, cafes, entertainment venues, and offices as well as homes around Sussex”.

Speaking about what’s made the business a success, Founder Christopher said, “Our expertise is one thing, but customer service is another. Customer service is paramount, and that’s why we have a 24-hour answering service. We have full-time staff in our office in Brighton available by phone and email, or you can even pop in for a visit. By keeping business local and employing a team of experts in CCTV and alarms, Brighton CCTV can deliver an experienced service and can also deliver this service with the customer at the heart of what we do”.

As a company, we continually seek to improve our everchanging knowledge with our engineers attending training events and trade shows to provide our customers with the most up-to-date products and services.

Brighton CCTV has worked on many significant projects over its ten years in business, including the Brighton i360, Brighton Dome, Allergy Therapeutics, Hilton hotels and Boeing. We’re proud to have held these contracts for many years, with Brighton Dome having worked with us for over six years and the Hilton hotel chain continuing to come back to us for installations at their various locations, with approximately 80-120 cameras installed per hotel.

“I’m proud of the business we’ve become as we really do try to make a difference, not just with our customers, but to the local community too. As a team we’re pretty tight-knit, and we love taking

part in local charity events such as the Speedee Boarding event last summer at Hove Lagoon, and the annual Brighton Regency Round Table 10 gala dinner event.”
